Crypto.com Card has an inactivity fee that is easy to miss if the card sits in a wallet unused.
For the Singapore-issued Crypto.com Prepaid Visa Card offered to users with a non-Singapore residential address, 12 consecutive months without cardholder-initiated qualifying financial activity may trigger a 5 SGD monthly fee. It is not a one-time annual charge; it can continue each month until qualifying activity resumes.
Crypto.com Card inactivity fee
The official fee table does not vary the inactivity fee by card color. Under the Singapore non-resident schedule covered here, all five tiers are charged 5 SGD per month.

What does not count as qualifying activity?
Declined transactions and transactions that are later refunded do not count and do not reset the 12-month clock.
The fee page does not clearly promise that merely topping up the card qualifies. The safer approach is a small completed purchase that posts successfully and is not refunded.
What if the Card Wallet has no money?
A zero balance does not automatically waive the fee. Singapore card terms allow Crypto.com to notify you through the App or email when the Card Wallet cannot cover a fee, and require payment within 14 days.
Unpaid amounts may lead to suspension of the card, Card Wallet, or related services. A negative balance must be topped up to at least zero. The terms do not say Crypto.com will automatically sell assets in the separate Crypto Wallet.
How to avoid the inactivity fee
- Make a small purchase every few months instead of waiting until month 12.
- Confirm that it posts successfully and is not reversed or refunded.
- Review App transactions, current fee pages, email, and in-app notices.
- If you no longer want the card, ask support about unpaid fees and closure costs before closing it.
What should users in the United States know?
Do not apply the 5 SGD figure automatically to a U.S.-issued card. This article covers a Singapore-issued prepaid Visa for non-Singapore residents, while Crypto.com maintains a separate United States prepaid-card fee schedule and also markets a U.S. Visa Signature credit-card product.
The current official U.S. prepaid schedule lists a US$4.95 monthly inactivity fee after 12 months and says it changes to US$5.95 on September 1, 2026. Check the product name, issuing entity, and current terms shown in your own App.
